Mac OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Read Me

Mac 10.6 users may experience problems when trying to view streaming content for the first time which prevent the Araloc Viewer from opening.  This is due to a bug in Mac OSX 10.6 and Java Web Start.

There is a simple setting that you can apply on your Macintosh which will resolve the issue.

In the Finder, open your hard drive contents, select “Applications”, select “Utilities”, and select “Java Preferences”.

In the Java Preferences utility, the default settings should be as below.

In the lower “Java Applications” control, drag “Java SE 6 32-bit” so that it appears above the “64-bit” entry, as below.

Exit Java Preferences and access and return to the streaming content landing page.  You should now be able to click the “View Content Now” button to view your content.
